Salvation

How can I be forgiven of my sins?

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

What is Sin? Sin is the transgression of the law of God. Sin separates us from God. Sin is disobeying or violating God’s laws; rebellion against God.

How can I be forgiven of my sins. You just don’t know all the horrible things I have done. I want you to know that whosoever call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Let me share some scriptures from the Word of God. Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.” What does this mean? In the fall of Adam, sin as an active principle or power gained entrance into the human race. Two results followed: Sin and corruption entered into Adam’s heart and life.

Secondly Adam, Transmitted sin into the life-stream of the human race, corrupting all people that will be born after him. Now all humans are born into the world with an impulse toward sin and evil. Because we are born into this world with that sin nature we are personally responsible for acquiring forgiveness from God. Let’s look at Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” There are two points I want to share with you.

Point 1— Sin is missing the mark. Man is not a sinner by virtue of what he has done, but by his birth.

Point 2—To be a Christian does not mean that you are a member of a certain church. A Christian is a person who has accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ in his life and is actively developing a relationship with God. A person is born again when he becomes spiritually alive to God.

St John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Point 1— God gave His son as our substitute without charge.

Point 2— The gift of salvation is for whosever, regardless of age, background, etc.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast."

Point 1— Salvation is by faith, not feeling. Faith is believing what the Bible says, doing it, in spite of how you feel. You can never earn salvation through your work, but that salvation is by faith alone.

Point 2— Receiving salvation is like receiving a gift. Unless you reach for it, it will not become yours. By faith, confidence and trust in God’s Word, you will receive salvation…

John 1:12 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:"

Point 1— According to John 1:12, this gift must be received. Jesus cannot be forced on anyone. He must be received willingly.

Romans 10:9 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Point 1— To receive Jesus you confession with your mouth that you “agree” with the principles of God’s Word concerning your life and about Jesus. Then ask God to forgive you of your sins.

Romans 10:9 (Continue)

Point 2— Now all you have to do is believe that you are forgiven, because of the finished work of Jesus for your sins.

Romans 10:13 "For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.""

Point 1— Whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved… Now let’s pray…

Dear God,

I know without Jesus I am lost. I believe your Word…

I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, and He sit at the right hand of the Father. I now invite you into my life and receive you by faith as my Lord and Saviour. I am sorry for my sins and I thank you for your forgiveness. Jesus, you are my Lord. I am now a new creature in Christ and a child of God. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus’ name. Amen

If you sincerely prayed this call us and we will help you to become stronger in your walk with God.
